AAC presented its members

Albanian Association of Communes (AAC), held in Hotel “Tirana International”, an introduction national conference with all new heads of communes, out of the local elections of May 8th.

Albanian Association of Communes (AAC) is a common voice to represent, protect and support the country’s 308 communes. AAC is an active player in the decentralization process in Albania.

The aim of the Conference except congratulations for success in the important task of the new heads of communes have taken over, was the introduction of AAC activity, its purpose and organization, conducting activities to represent and protect communes’ interests in relations with important national and international institutions. In this context the activity contributed to the creation of linkages and establishing bridges of communication and cooperation between communes and the AAC.

Another aspect of the conference was the introduction to the participants of the local government legal framework, its financing and public investment in various sectors.
