dldp supports Ana e Malit commune in elaboration and implementation of waste management plan

Ana Malit Commune in the frame of dldp grant fund has start drafting the waste management plan. With a total fund of 47450 Euro (9500 Euro co-financed by the commune) through this project the aim is to support commune first to elaborate the WMP and then to implement it through investments.

Administrative staff of the commune and experts of REC (Regional Environmental Center, Albania), during the last days worked together to prepare the first proposal for waste collection routes, hot spots and cost calculation. Meetings with Head of villages, members of communal council and community have taken place. Questionnaires regarding waste production and citizens opinion regarding waste collection points, tariffs and the more effective ways to organize the collection and transport of the waste have been disseminated. These meetings have been attended even by specialist of the neighborhood commune of Berdica, which aim to start a similar process during next months.
