IPA projects start in Qark of Shkodra

On the frame of regional development, on the frame of dldp support for the Qark of Shkodra, the Regional Council of Shkodra (RCS) and dldp have been agreed to cooperate in a number of areas. This agreement was formalized through a MoU, which reflects lines of the support and cooperation between parties. One of the states of the cooperation is: dldp will provide technical assistance to the Qark of Shkodra in the frame of Cross Border Institutional Building: IPA Adriatic and IPA AL-MNE 2010-2011 etc

In this regard the project titled “Building pathways for tourism cooperation through developing handicraft products” was awarded under IPA CBC program. The project started up implementation on 1st of February 2011 under the main implementers of Guri i Zi Commune & Capital-City of Podgorica. The project partners Regional Council of Shkodra, Albanian, Albanian Artisans Association NGO Montenegro Chamber of Skilled Crafts and Entrepreneurship constitute the team for project implementation.
In this regard dldp provided technical support for the EU/IPA CBC project implementation for Commune of Guri i Zi and the Regional Council of Shkodra. The technical support is focused mainly in two directions as the following:
a)    Capacity building of LGU administration of Shkodra on implementing EU projects within the framework of IPA Cross Border Cooperation programme
b)    Methodological support for planning, activities implementation and reporting as well as financial management due to the EU proceedings;
